Take part in the next JamSocial.
If you would like to take part in the next workshop please contact us.
We’re especially keen to hear from Vocalists, Bass Players, Guitarists and Drummers.
The dates are not fixed yet, but it is likely to be happening on a Saturday or Sunday in June or July 2015. If you have any dates you cannot do during this time then please include these in your message so we can avoid them if possible so that you are able to take part.
We’ll announce the dates to everyone that expressed an interest first, before making the dates public and filling any remaining spaces.
JamSocial is a very popular event and is often over-subscribed so do get in early with an expression of interest in taking part!
On October 25th, Elephant Drums are hosting a drumming workshop and clinic with master drummer Robert Castelli as part of his UK tour.

Introducing a new music project in London for young people aged 13-18.
Sound It Out
From the 11th to 16th August participants will experiment, jam and create music to be performed at a live gig on Saturday 16th August 2014.
Elephant Drums is co-hosting a series of band workshops this Summer for young people aged 13-18.
The “Sound It Out” workshops are to take place during August 2014 at a music centre in South London.
The workshops follow a similar format to JamSocial, featuring workshops in a range of topics around band performance skills. The week-long project will culminate in a final public performance, showcasing the music that the participants have created.

Thanks to everyone in our Facebook Group we have fixed a date and time for the next session and selected the songs for the workshop.
This session will be a slightly new format for JamSocial. The afternoon will be hosted by Zoe Konez and Will Connor and the focus is on the band as a whole rather than individual instruments.
We’re at a new venue for JamSocial – The Finsbury in Manor House. This is an excellent live music venue which has been refurbished over the New Year with a state-of-the-art PA system and a new stage.
We’ve worked out special versions of the songs to use as a starting point for the workshop and jam sessions. The focus for the workshop is on making the band work as a whole, it’s not really about “learning” the songs strictly. You’ll receive your workshop pack by email if you register to take part. You’ll need to spend a little bit of time to look over the material in advance of the session to become familiar with it – but don’t worry it’s not too complicated!Contact us & Register
Please send us a message with your name and instrument to register interest in taking part. It’s first-come-first-served! Please get in there quickly as this is likely to be oversubscribed.
There are 12 participant places available at this JamSocial. It is going to be the most intimate event yet – with lots of individual attention. These places are £20 each.
If you want to come along to socialise and learn from watching the workshop (but not play on stage) then we’ve got a limited number of “audience” tickets available for £5. To make the event a success we need to limit the number of performers on stage during the workshop to ensure everyone gets a fair chance to play.
The performers spaces are first-come-first-served. If we are oversubscribed beyond the 12 performers, then you’ll be offered an “audience” ticket which means you’ll be involved in the workshop as far as is reasonably possible but we can’t guarantee you’ll get to go on-stage. However, if someone drops out or doesn’t turn up on the day you’ll have first priority to take their space.
